The areas served are located on the Illinois Prairie, and are characterized by prime farm land, dotted by small "grain elevator towns" that also serve as bedroom communities for Champaign, the largest city. Champaign is also home to the University of Illinois  The University and two major hospitals attract a diverse "high tech" employment base that provides stability to the local real estate market.

The appraiser holds a Certified Residential Appraisal License (556.002065) issued by the Illinois Office of Banks and Real Estate, a Bachelors Degree in Agriculture from the University of Illinois and a Masters Degree in Public Financial Management from American University. He is a Realtor Member of two realty boards and an Associate Member of the Appraisal Institute. He is also a member of the Illinois Coalition of Appraisal Professionals (ICAP).
